End of Day 1 Travels
I finally got done driving, even though I could have driven farther, a lot farther. I'm really good at driving. Anyway, I stopped in Amarillo, TX and had a lot higher expectations for a town mentioned in a George Strait song. This place reminds me of Pigeon Forge, except not as classy. The Texas pan-handle and all of Oklahoma might be the ugliest parts of the United States. Honestly I can't see how anyone would live here. It's flat, the dirt is red, there is a bunch of gravel and hardly any trees. Oh well, tomorrow I'll be driving through New Mexico and Arizona which should be pretty cool. I'll keep you updated if you're lucky. Until tomorrow....

Goodbye Tennessee
Alright youngins', this is it for me and Tennessee. I'm packing up my stuff and heading out in the morning to Wild Wild West. It's a 27 hour drive and I'm making to trek alone so I have no idea how long it will take me. I'm thinking about stopping in Norman, Oklahoma the first day and then Albequerque, New Mexico the second day and that would leave about 11 hours left to make it to Los Angeles. I'm taking a camera and going to take pictures and if I figure out how to upload them on here I will. If not I'll put them on facebook for your viewing pleasure. I guess you could say this is a pretty big step for me and hopefully a positive one.
In all of the excitement and steps to get ready to move to LA I have almost forgotten the reason I'm going, to help kids in need. I feel bad that it's been at the back of my mind and have been trying to remind myself I'm going out there to work and then have fun. I'm hoping I can actually do some good for these kids and enjoy southern California at the same time. If nothing else this is sure to be an experience.
Well I have to go because I still have some yard work to take care of before hitting the road. As I mentioned earlier, I'll keep you guys updated throughout the trip since I know you're hanging on by thread to hear what I have to say.

Today we're going to talk about something that interests me a whole lot: outer space. As I was perusing the internet for stories to post up here I came across this gem and it got me thinking about other stuff. Scientists have discovered a spot in the universe where 2 planets smashed into each other several thousand years ago and one planet was vaporized. Scientist believe this is what happened on Earth millions of years ago to form our lunar satellite (the Moon).
This got me thinking about other things that have happened in the universe and do happen in throughout the universe daily. Further, I began to think about what everyone has thought about at least once in their lives, aliens. I am a 100% believer there are aliens out there. I mean who says they have to be smart? Who says they have to breathe oxygen and drink water? Who says they have to be ugly and stupid like Brent Hamby and Chris Earwood? I mean think about it; if outer space is infinite and never-ending, how much of a waste would it be if we were the only life-bearing planet? That's ludacris!
After my brainstorming session I decided to scour the web for alien sightings and the like. Obviously I came up with tons of hits and "evidence" there was life out there. Now how credible the inofrmation and sources were is questionible, that is unitl I came across these accounts. The link provided is a link that quotes NASA astronauts, including Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin, who say they know for certain there is not only life, but intelligent life outside of planet Earth.
Armstrong claims to have seen aliens on the surface of the Moon as well as unidentified flying objects following them while they were in space. Mission control was ordered not to respond to them for fear of terrifying the general public. Other accounts made by astronauts claim they have been followed by UFOs and that radar definitely picked up the objects but no one knew what they were.
So, my question to you is, are there aliens amongest us? Are they intelligent? Or is there life somewhere out there that is in the early caveman state? Even if you don't believe it, it's pretty fun to think about, unless you think about them destroying the White House.
In other news, the New York Yankees hold a 5 1/2 game lead over the Boston Red Sox in the AL East and the St. Louis Cardinals are 3 games up on the Cubs in the NL Central.
Peace

It appears true love isn't real, at least not TV true love. Ed Swiderski, recent winner of ABC's bacheloretter, is being accused of cheating by two different women. Jillian, playing the typical woman, doesn't believe in any way her man could cheat. Right. I'm sure it's everyone's dream to go on national TV and find their spouse through a process of elimination game show. Didn't one contestant already say he came on the show to gain exposure for his band? You go girl.
Aerosmith leadsinger, Steven Tyler, has been hospitalized after falling of stage in South Dakota. He reportedly was taken to the hospital because of neck and shoulder injuries, which are not sweet emotions.
A would-be thief was killed yesterday in Knoxville, TN when he broke into a house where the homeowner was waiting for him with a gun. Seventeen-year-old Arsenio Wooten was found behind 814 Carls Lane in South Knoxville. For those who are familiar with Knoxville, that's in between the Woodlands and Rivertown apartments. link
Sharon Stone, 51, is featured on Paris Match Magazine- topless. I won't post a link, but if one were to try to see the image they should probably type "paris match sharon stone" into Google and then go to images; just to see what comes up.
Big ups to my main man E (Eli Manning) who just got a new contract extension from the New York Giants. E (Eli for those not close to him- like me) will reportedly make $97.5 million over 6 years. Whoop there it is
Finally, I've reached a decision on my future in the job world. I've decided to accept the job with City Year Los Angeles, which means I'll be moving to LA at the end of the month. Hopefully I won't mess up the kid's lives too bad. Well that's all I got for now.
