Heads up in Hawaii

I just found this article and it's a good/scary read. If you're thinking of traveling to Hawaii, you may want to hold off due to some rumblings from North Korea.

Good news for UT

Apparently some very good prospects are going to be at UT's football camp this weekend, which is always good news. per Volquest.com

Father's Day Ideas?

As most of you know, at least I hope you know, Sunday is Father's Day. I have no idea what I'm getting my dad, especially since I spent all of my money at Bonnaroo. If anyone has any ideas for gifts, they would be greatly appreciated.

I just installed Zemanta

So I just installed this new program called Zemanta because it suppossed to help bloggers by providing links and other relevant info after it reads your blog. Hopefully it works and if I write about something that interests someone they'll be able to find it on the internet without having to go anywhere else. Ok, that's all I have right now.

Bonnaroo

I just got back from Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival in Manchester, TN. Let me start off by saying it was incredible. I went with some friends and had an incredible time. If you ever get the chance to go, GO!!!
There is an assortment of differnet things to do there. Obviously live music is the main pull, but there are vendors who sell everything from clothes to coffee to collector's memorabilia.
Tickets can be purchased on Bonnaroo's official website, bonnaroo.com, but I bought mine from a scalper and saved close to $80. The line-up is awesome every year and never lets anyone down. Bands of every kind were there including Phish, MGMT, Bruce Springsteen, Moe, David Byrne (from Talking Heads), Public Enemy and Snoop Dogg. Oh yeah, the Beastie Boys were there who brought Nas out and it was a great show. They also have a comedy tent where top acts perform. Some of this year's headliners were Jimmy Fallon, Michael Ian Black and Aziz Ansari.
One of the highlights of the trip, besides all of the great music, was a group of people who dressed up in crazy costumes and made a parade through the festival. These people weren't part of the festival, but had everything a carnival would including stilts and a bicycle riding fish.
All in all, it was a great time and highly encourage anyone who is on the fence about going to take a deep breath and jump off the mythical cliff in to Bonnaroo 2010.

Hello again

Hey, I know it's been a while since my first few blogs. I got a little sidetracked with graduation and the job hunt. Oh well, I'm back now and will try to keep updating as often as possible.

Since I last posted a lot has happened. The biggest events that are important to me are as follows:
1. Obama wins and is the first black president of the United States
2. University of Tennessee hires a new football coach; Lane Kiffin (come on, I'm a graduate).
3. My sister just finished her first year of college at UT.
4. Lauren Stephenson, one of my best friends, got married (now Ms. Lauren Richards).
5. I got a job. Unfortuantely though, I decided it wasn't for me and decided to look for something else.
6. I just got back from Bonnaroo, which was awesome.
7. Oh yeah, I graduated from UT.

Well obviously a lot more has gone on in my life and the world since November, but that's all I can think of as major events in my life at the moment. Anyway, hope whoever (if anyone), reads this they enjoy it and feel free to leave commentary or anything else you feel necessary.

halloween weekend

After a long weekend of halloween parties my body needs to rest. I'll have more posts later.
