Oh no

Well it's official: John and Kate have decided to split. Now that that's over, it's on with the important stuff.

The rain-soaked U.S. Open has finally come to an end. Lucas Glover held on for only his second career win on the PGA Tour. Fan-favorite Phil Mickelson couldn't make up the shots needed to capture his first Open championship. With his runner-up finish, Mickelson becomes the first player in PGA Tour history to win second place five times. Tiger Woods finished tied for sixth after shooting even par for the tournament.

In other sports news, Wimbledon started today and Roger Federer is the odds on favorite to win, especially with Rafael Nadal pulling out of the tournament last week. Also the College World Series final series starts tonight pitting LSU vs. Texas. Between the two teams there are a combined eleven CWS championships.

Finally, my beloved St. Louis Cardinals are back in National League play tonight against the New York Mets. Hopefully Albert Pujols can continue to swing the bat like he did yesterday, when he hit two homeruns, one a grandslam, and drove in six runs.

Until next time. Same blog time, same blog channel.
