1986

Let's take a look back at what was happening in the magical year Dub P(me) was born.

1986, the year of the tiger. Yeah, the year of the tiger.

Well on the first day of the year Spain and Portugal became part of the European Community, which later became the European Union. In the same month the Chicago Bears beat the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XX.

February was a slow month, although Pixar Studios officially opened on the third.

March was also a realtively slow month. A few highlights were Out of Africa won the Oscar for best picture, some other cool stuff happened and oh yeah, Dub P was birthed.

In April, a nuclear power-plant melted down in Chernoybl, Ukraine killing more than 50 people instantly. Roger Clemens, set a major league record with 20 strike outs in 9 innings pitched.

The month of May gave all of us hope with Hands Across America. Oh yeah, and the Montreal Canadiens won the Stanley Cup. I'm not putting a link bucause I don't know anything about hockey.

June was a sports-dominated month with the Boston Celtics winning the NBA championship and Argentina defeating West Germany in the FIFA World Cup.

July, 1986 was the month CSX Transportation was established. I'm sure more cool stuff happened and I bet it was hot too.

Most of the other stuff I found that happened in 1986 was bad and nothing to celebrate. Except the Boston Red Sox losing the world series to Mets. If you know of anything cool that happened I left out, post it in the comments and I'll add it.

And in case you missed it, I put in a link to Katy Perry's website, the hottest girl on the planet.
